New creations are spread over a fresh clean canvas bringing its surface to life, The various hues are gathered, and then positioned with brush or pallet knife. As does a conductor orchestrate a symphony, so do the young take their instrument in hand and create a new world of color and expression. Whether the medium be graphite, charcoal, ink, or paint, their work gathers among their peers which will insure its progression. For the evolution of art has found its new beginning within the youth of this time, It comes up from the depths of their exposure to all the violence and all the crime. Some paint and draw of events blackened by war and hate, Puzzled adults look, ponder and ask the question, “Why these subjects do they create? Illustrating worlds of fantasy where their minds escape from this world at war, Drawing, painting, creating environments of peace, fleeing from all of humanity’s gore. Yet there are those captured by all of this horror mankind has placed on display, Their regurgitation of events expressed on a myriad of surfaces is among the art of today. Their reflections speak through the canvas, paper, sculpting clay and wall, Speaking to the youth, the adult, that mankind is headed for a serious fall. They speak by brush, by pencil and by pen, Hoping humanity may see their works and bring hate to an end. Flowers, meadows, and baskets of fruit no longer provide the subject of the day. Technology, fantasy heroes, death and darkness of soul may, for a time, have their way. The messages expressed upon the surfaces of Art need attention to be paid, Before the hopes and dreams of mankind all too soon violently fade. Through their eyes, expressed by their hands are the visions the youth wish to share, Because they are young does not mean that they do not care. Their talents are screaming, all one needs is to look at the significance of their art, For the time is come, their wisdom sees a solution, they are ready to serve mankind and do their part. They raise their brush, pencil and pen to provide hope for someday this world will be theirs, They do not wish to live in a world of darkness and war, when eventually, no one really cares.
